My name is Nick D’Angelo. I’m a 23 year old tattoo artist originally born in Hollywood Florida, and now residing in western New York. When it comes to style I’m a sucker for photo realistic, portrait tattoos, and pretty much any art related to influential people in history, or awesome movie characters. I decided to become a tattoo artist at the age of 16, when I realized my original dream of being an art teacher would consist of a grueling struggle to find a job, followed by a lifetime of teaching extremely difficult students like myself.

I opened my own tattoo studio at the age of 19. A few years later that little studio has evolved into something I had never expected. I now own a state of the art pirate themed tattoo studio… YES! Pirate themed! I tattoo by appointment only at my shop, which gives my clientele a very personal experience full of good vibes, which they can enjoy without all the chaos of a normal tattoo studio. I tattoo using the cleanest, safest methods available and supply all forms of preferred aftercare free of charge to clients. I also provide an array of beverages, like mellow mood tea or all natural drinks to keep my clients in a relaxed mood! I feel that these can help you cope with the extended pain of the tattooing process. My shop is also equipped with UV air sterilization units. These are used in operating rooms to kill airborne toxins which can be harmful to your fresh tattoo.

Enough about business and on to the juicy stuff! I am a father to a beautiful 4 year old little girl named Selene! If you think I stole this name from a popular vampire movie, then you’re right! I had a huge obsession with Kate Beckinsale a few years back. Some of my favorite things to do all consist of nature! I enjoy the beach, nature trails, creeks and all things free spirited. Being in the woods and adventuring are some of the most artistically inspiring things I do, which brings me to this next part.

I somehow found my way on to INKMASTER season 2 as a competitor at the age of 22. This was probably one of the most defining moments of my artistic career. I was thrown into a house with 15 tattoo artists and forced to compete with them in challenges on national television… No stress! This may have been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in my life. However, being around some of the worlds best tattooists and learning every step of the way shaped me into the more humble, and open minded person I am now.

Every day I learn more and more from the world around me, my amazing family, friends and great clients who keep me on my toes with their awesome ideas! I hope the learning never stops and it leads me through a long and exciting path to my future.
